FacePlate is the term used to represent the Details and Ratings of Motor/Transformer etc using an embedded Stainless Steel Plate on them.

In SCADA and DCS, Faceplate is a graphic representation of a particular instrument/device in field, which shows the details like its Name, Description, Alarm Limits, kW Ratings etc.
